I just returned from Kenya this afternoon. We are so excited as we were able to buy 2 cows last Monday. Nancy Wanjiku found a woman who knew another woman who has 2 cows that she wanted to sell as she was not interested in raising them anymore. They are both around 2 years old. We were able to get a great price actually both for the price of one. One of the cows is 5 months pregnant and the other is waiting confirmation that the insemination was successful.
Monday night the children had milk from their own cows. Tuesday morning they milked a total of 9 liters in the morning. this is a real good amount as the cows were stressed from their transport and new home.
